About Medi-Solve

Medi-Solve is associated with the Cambridge Polymer Group (CPG) and Boston Biomedical Associates, a Quality and Regulatory consulting group.

We are a highly motivated, experienced team of scientists, regulatory affairs consultants and physician advisors with over 20 years of experience in orthopedics and medical device manufacturing.  Our principles have played leading roles in product development and manufacturing for Fortune 500 medical companies, and have affiliations with leading university researchers.  We have a successful track record of working with companies in a non-disruptive way to provide root cause analysis, manufacturing improvements, develop testing methods, and submit FDA documents.  Our scientists have lectured at the FDA on biomedical recalls.

We collaborate with the client's personnel to provide analysis of pre- and post-product launch manufacturing issues quickly, without disrupting the R&D engineering staff or slowing down existing projects.

All work is performed in a GLP laboratory.

  About the Founder

Ron Sahatjian is VP of the Strategic Technology Programs at Boston Scientific Corporation.

In 1991 he started the Corporate Technology division.  This became the Corporate R&D center for the company.  During that time he started the company’s drug delivery program with the invention of the hydrogel coated drug eluting balloon and porous drug delivery Channel™ balloon.

In 1998 he started Boston Scientific's Less Invasive Neurosurgery R&D group.  This group is credited with numerous product launches and primary IP positions in aneurysmal and stroke therapies.

In 2000 he was awarded the first John Abele Science and Technology Award for research or discovery of an enabling technology that has become a platform for significant future commercial impact for Boston Scientific.  One example of this is the BSC Peripheral Vascular balloon catheter product line, starting with the development and launch of the Ultrathin™ balloon.

In 2005 he founded Medi-Solve Associates, an association of scientists from surface coatings, extrusion, molding and polymer chemistry.

He has numerous publications and over 50 patents in medical devices, primarily in balloon materials and drug delivery systems.
